Salut ! I'm Alex
My love for the silver screen started at a young age back in Romania. I was fascinated by the transporting power of films and the way they allowed me to explore new worlds, ideas, and emotions. As a child, I watched a mix of American and European cinema, getting lost in stories that felt far removed from everyday life. I was drawn to science fiction epics like Star Wars, fantasy adventures like The Lord of the Rings, and richly textured period dramas. What captivated me most was how all the elements of filmmaking came together, from scripts and performances to cinematography and editing, to create something that felt almost magical.
Beyond simply watching films, I have always been deeply interested in how stories are made and adapted for the screen. I enjoy reading in-depth articles and interviews about the creative process, from book adaptations to original screenplays, and from television series to feature films. Alongside this passion, I work full-time in the hospitality industry, where structure, detail, and people matter. Film criticism is my passion project and the work closest to my heart, a space where I can slow down, think critically, and share considered, spoiler-light opinions that respect both your time and, when it comes to cinema, your ticket.
